Taking on clients again!

Hi, friends! It’s been a beautiful and healing time — nearly three months as a mom of two! My daughter turned two last week, so I now no longer have the excuse of “two under two” when things go awry, ha. My son, Isaiah, recently started to smile and laugh, and when he does, it’s like a thousand flowers bursting at once. I love it.

Big transitions (like motherhood) naturally evoke an evaluation of what’s most pressing and important. I am listening to my inner wisdom when it comes to how I can be of service to the world beyond my family, in a way that feels validating, enriching and worthwhile.

tonight, i forget. tonight, i remember.

Sometimes I forget that I’m creative, that I came here, in a sea of traveling light that can illuminate even my darkest ideas. “What’s wrong with me?” is the mantra that has created elaborate worry. Illnesses in my head, potential threats and warlocks, taking over the healthy parts of my body. Making them dead. Dizzy… Continue reading tonight, i forget. tonight, i remember.

when using the power to destroy and deconstruct is productive

energy exists and needs an outlet. it is neutral, neither “good” or “bad” or “sad” or “happy” although I’d assert that some energy is more “dense” or “light” or “fast-moving” than others. the way we wield this energy is key: with it, (in the physical realm) we can choose to build or destroy. add to… Continue reading when using the power to destroy and deconstruct is productive

Writing and Editing at the same time, in one brain

“I can’t sleep in this fevered dream.” It always starts with a “Yesterday” or a “Last week” or some marker in time, as if closeness or distance matters to what’s right, versus what’s right now. As it goes, yesterday, I received a surprise Reiki session, gifted by my neighbor and former client, Arthur. He wrote… Continue reading Writing and Editing at the same time, in one brain

Yo, Whatcha Readin’?

When troubled for things to do, read. When down or stuck or bored, read. To hone your articulation, read. To sharpen the thoughts in your mind, read. Before and after editing, read. Instead of automatically checking Facebook, read. To sober up, read. To get drunk, read. I say this not to make you a better… Continue reading Yo, Whatcha Readin’?
